Today we see that all of our systems are tighter connected to each other and the internet as never before. A simple example of this is the fact that you can control your own heating system with an app. But what if that app gets hacked and someone else turns your heat on without you knowing it (because your on holiday). This can cost serious money, but If you think bigger whole electrical nets can get unstable if someone messes with solar inverters on a large scale. What happens than? A wrong configuration settings, or a not so smart fix can have hugh consequences on a large scale. This is where my fascination for Cyber Security is origination from.
Vd-berg.io is a website about my continuous journey in Cyber Security. If have set my self some personal goals to gain knowledge and certifications like GCIH, GPEN, OSCP+ and CISSP within the next few years. After that I plan to specialize more into the field of ICS and OT.

By certifying I expect that my skill and view on Cyber Security will change. I Plan to share my knowledge in the form of Tutorials and Write-ups. Some will have everything to do with installing, securing and using systems like Linux, Windows, etc. Others can be be about applications I like to use.
